Using what is published here

The licence

Everything on the public pages — the figures, the tables, the charts and the words around them — is published under CC BY-NC 4.0.

• Quoting a figure in an article, a thread or a report is always fine, and does not need permission from anybody.
• Republishing a table or a chart needs credit to ASPERN and a link to the page it came from.
• Commercial use is not covered: selling a product built on these figures, or redistributing them as a data product, needs a licence. Ask.

How to credit it

A figure without a date cannot be checked afterwards, which is the whole argument of this site turned on itself. Quote the date you read it.

What this does not cover

• The paid layer. Anything behind a plan is licensed to the customer who bought it, for their own use, and is not republishable under the licence above. What each plan carries.
• The MMC index is free to quote and cite with attribution; redistributing it as a data product, or building a derivative index on it, needs a licence. The index and its methodology.
• Other people’s marks. Venue and token logos belong to whoever owns them and are shown to identify what is being measured.

And what none of it is

None of this is advice, and no figure here is a recommendation to put money anywhere. Everything is read from public records and is bounded by what those records contain; each page says what it could not see. A number that is right today can be wrong tomorrow, which is why every one of them carries the moment it was read.
